Long awaited...much anticipated...way overdue...
...probably the last phrase describes it best. Because the way the (non-existent) 'scene' is now, it doesn't seem that there are many people out there who really care much, if at all, about bands in the 'up and coming' category. It was great to see the thrashers out in force at the recent Over Kill show, still showing support for the greatest thrash band EVER. But for those of us that haven't yet made it to that level, the climb seems to get more steep every day.
But SKULLSHIFTER remains undaunted. We are metal through-and-through, and we live and breathe it every minute of every day. Regardless of what obstacles life puts in our path, we soldier on...writing, performing and promoting the music we believe in as if our lives depended upon it. We know no other way.
Using these struggles as a source of inspiration, SKULLSHIFTER has just put the finishing touches on a brand new video for the appropriately titled song 'Strain.' Set for release near mid-January, the self-produced video is a new creative benchmark for the band, and we are damn proud of what we've been able to accomplish with zero budget and a lot of imagination.

After an uncharacteristically quiet 2010, SKULLSHIFTER is making plans for a loud return in 2011. Hope to see you in the new year.
